STATIC CHARGE IN HAZARDOUS AREAS.

B.P.SYSTEMS: - Stainless Steel Drums & Containers are being used in hazardous flameproof areas due to ATEX certification requirements, subject, static charge.

Industries that requires compounding and manufacturing use plastic drums when weighing out and manually loading to process vessels under flameproof conditions.

Recommendation from independent ATEX Audit, recommends that stainless steel drums and container are used for this duty as they can be earthed at all times. B.P.SYSTEMS range of stainless steel container and drums are heavy-duty robust, flat bottom with knuckle radiuses for easy of cleaning, lids, clamps and seal rings with a choice of handles. Material of construction 316,304 & 202 Austenitic stainless steel.

Due to the increase in 316 & 304 stainless steel prices, our suppliers have given us an alternative in material specification. Grade 202 stainless This is an austenitic stainless steel a lower grade then 304, used extensively in catering for cooking utensils, scoops, buckets, pallet knives, trays, bowls & jugs, its more than adequate, as usually the items are washed and dried after use. The cost implication against 316 & 304 materials are enormous.
